Friend or Foe

I don't know whether Facebook is to blame or just a collateral victim but this week I got the weirdest e-mail from one of my "friends". If you're on Facebook I'm sure you've gotten many messages sent to you this way.

My "friend" is actually a real friend of mine; a former colleague, now retired. In other words I know her pretty well. She's the last person who would try to turn me on to a miracle weight-loss program (though I could use a miracle along those lines).

So I called her and she told me this spam appeared on her Facebook page and when she deleted it, it sent that e-mail to her friends.

Great, another way to get junk mail or potentially something worse. Consider yourself forewarned.
